2 Days in Paris

2 Days in Paris

Paris

A week of sun and fun on the Italian coast left us ready for the third chapter of our honeymoon - Paris.  A city I so cherish and the place where I studied & launched ASHA, Paris holds the most special place in my heart.  It was the first time that Naveen and I visited together so I gave him a tour of my old haunts from my days at La Sorbonne - from Allard to 404 to the d'Orsay.  Paris was the cherry on top of the best honeymoon - such a special way to begin our new chapter as newlyweds.

We were in Paris for 2 days and stayed at Le Crillon - a classic and luxurious spot with the most magnificent bar.  It was Fashion Week and we kept spotting famous faces like Naomi Campbell & Chiara Feragni.  We checked out the new Cheval Blanc hotel for drinks one night - there was a lot of buzz around the property as it had opened recently. (We got engaged at Cheval Blanc in St. Barths so of course wanted to check out her Parisian sister).  The new hotel was previously the old La Samaritaine department store which underwent a chic & modern facelift with a very cool bar & restaurant overlooking the Seine. We also happened to be in Paris on my birthday - which was the best way to spend the day in my favorite city and of course soak in all the inspiration.

The doors of Paris - I always love this perfect blue in Place Vendôme.
The bar at Le Crillon - possibly my favorite bar in the world.
The view from our room at Le Crillon - nothing more romantic than Paris by night.
A delectable breakfast spread at Le Crillon.
A classic car in a classic city.
Strolling through the Tuileries on my birthday.  Trench by APC.
One of the things I adore most about Paris is all the walking - we walked nearly 12 miles in two days!
Lunch at La Societe was perfection - overlooking L'Eglise St. Germain.
Another favorite restaurant in Paris is Allard - a classic, French bristo in the 6th with the best Escargot.
Paris always ignites my creativity as there is inspiration to be found everywhere - from the doors, the mosaic tile floors to the art. Until next time!
