At Home

At long last, I'm sharing a collection of photos of our Connecticut home as featured in Connecticut Cottages & Gardens. (You can read an excerpt from the article here) It was such a joy bringing our dream home to life - it truly is a representation of my design aesthetic - classic & modern and a mélange of all my favorite things. From modern art & sleek spaces to Indian inspired wallpaper & Moroccan treasures, I tried to marry a fresh & clean design aesthetic with a hint of exotic inspired by my love of travel.  My husband and I fell in love with the coastal, Nantucket feeling of our home and surprised our three children with the house finished and decorated with a Nantucket meets Malibu meets Connecticut vibe.  It was also so fun collaborating with my mom and having her tremendous design eye in my back pocket.

Photography by Ellen McDermott, Kelly Stuart & Julia Dags.

With Mom in my backyard - her taste is more classic & traditional, whereas mine is a little more modern.  It was such fun bouncing ideas off of each other and she is a whiz with paint colors.

A serene painting by Daphne Chain I commissioned to pair with an Oomph console I also painted to coordinate in Farrow & Ball's Mizzle.

Another hint of Cromarty in our side entry with a Quadrille cushion.

Our Great room - my favorite room in our home. We streamlined this room and shiplapped the fireplace with the help of Eileen Lane. Restoration Hardware couches with pillows in fabrics by John Robshaw, Quadrille & Nina Campbell & Madeaux.

Pillows in fabrics by John Robshaw & Nina Campbell.

I love these two paintings by Wendy Callahan I found at Oomph in Greenwich.  Chairs by Villa & House.

Powder Room wallpaper by Casa Branca & mirror found on Wayfair.

I wanted our dining room to be a wow moment - and Lee Jofa's Sameera wallpaper created a very special space where we entertain & also a nod to my husband's Indian heritage.

Custom dining table with Oly Studio chairs upholstered in Pierre Frey at the heads.

Our mudroom features quatrefoil mesh cabinets we had made to conceal the previous open cubbies.

Hues of blue - our family room features fabrics from Quadrille, Galbraith & Paul & Christopher Farr and a painting by Suzie Jellinek.

Annabel's room featuring hints of pink and white - I love her whimsical Schumacher wallpaper we also made a bolster pillow in the coordinating fabric.  Linens by Matouk and Jenny Allan in Altlana.

We painted our kitchen island Farrow & Ball Cromarty and found coordinating lighting by Mark D Sikes.

Our kitchen family room showcases a fun Jonathan Adler squiggle mirror with a Restoration Hardware couch accented with pillows in Pierre Frey & Roul fabrics.  Coffee Table by Serena & Lily.

We repainted our laundry cabinets in Farrow & Ball's Borrowed Light and tiled the floors in Mirth Studio custom color painted wood flooring.

Our Serena & Lily outdoor table gets lots of play as we love entertaining al fresco.  Plates by Penny Morrison.
