You can imagine our excitement in the office when de Gournay’s New York Showroom invited us to shoot our Fall 2013 campaign amidst their stunning hand painted wallpapers. The French company based in England is renowned for their collection of hand gilded paneled papiers peints that depict gorgeous hunting scenes, flora and fauna, vibrant Chinoiseries, and exotic scenes of India and Brazil.
These 22ct gold leaf backdrops were the perfect setting to show off our new collection of jewels. I particularly love how the malachite pops off of the electric blue Chinoiserie on our model. It was simply kismet to shoot in a place that combined my loves of beauty, art, and worldly travel…and to also capture our collection where the likes of Chanel, Vogue, Harrod’s & Harper’s Bazaar have recently shot campaigns.
