This Year on Nantucket

While this summer on Nantucket was very different, my visit there was a much needed escape with so many cherished constants in a time of unparalleled uncertainty and change. Travel and wanderlust are so vital to my being and inspiration process, that spending 10 days on my favorite summer island was like an elixir. Even though it was a visit like no other - masks, social distancing and lots of family time at home - there were aspects that were unchanged and so comforting. My family and I spent lots of time at our house in Sconset grilling, chilling and spending quality time together - it was totally relaxed and sublime.  Even though the last 5 months have lacked the hustle and bustle, a total unwind felt amazing.

Also wonderful, was our annual trunk show at Centre Pointe in town. It was truly amazing to see our incredible clients in person (although masked!), catch up and show off some of our latest designs.  One silver lining about less travel and more time at home during this pandemic has meant that we've been pretty prolific in rolling out lots of newness - including our first dresses. Here are some visual highlights from the trip, my favorite new designs and some family shots captured by the most talented Meredith Hanson. xx Ashley

Nantucket Scenes

The Summer House - one of my go-to's to grab lunch by the water.

One of the many Defenders on the island - we love spotting them - I love this icy blue one.

A perfect summer beach path - some things never change...

We did lots of biking around the island like we always do - a tradition from childhood summers on Nantucket.

Another beautiful scene - unchanged and always etched in memory.

Beautiful Sconset. The quiet old streets transport you to another era.

Annabel at our Sconset house - she is such a joy and my little partner. She wanted to wear one of our pink Liberty wrap bracelets as a choker - a budding fashionista!

The Chanticleer - a perfect spot for one of our few dinners out.

Socially distanced cocktails on the lawn at the Wauwinett to take in the sunset.

Centre Pointe Trunk Show

Wearing our new Amira Beaded Dress on my way to Centre Pointe in town.

Our new Nantucket baskets: my take on the classic Lightship baskets.

Our  Triple Rattan Earrings - fresh, bold and super light.

Nantucket Arm Party: Our best selling Liberty Wrap in Rainbow styled with our new Pearl Cuff & Enamel Clover Cuff.

We also did an early launch for trunk show clients of our beaded clip earrings which I designed and had produced in India by a female run factory. I wanted to create a fun, bold and colorful take on our chandelier earrings.

My beautiful sister, Katy, earring our Anjalee earrings.

Another favorite - our fun blue Charleston clutch adds a playful pop for a night out.

Our new India Bucket Bag - fresh, feminine and bohemian - from the beach to dinner! Also available in ivory and pale blue.

Our new Layla dress - so exciting to release this new style to our customers on island and now available online.

A new fine heirloom: Our Diamond Heart Locket - to hold your nearest and dearest memories close to your heart - can be monogrammed or left plain.

Our Monomoy Basket - named after my childhood home on Nantucket.  I worked with artisans on the Cape to recreate the classic Lightship baskets in a fresh way with light rattan, holly and adornments in mother of pearl and faux ivory.

Another classic reimagined: The Sankaty Clutch.

Our Madaket Basket - named after my favorite, peaceful harbor.

Family

Spending time with Annabel and my family was a gift.  I love this image of Annabel captured by Meredith Hanson - pure, childhood joy.  A reminder to always look on the bright side.

Shooting with Meredith Hanson and capturing some beautiful moments with my family was a highlight of the trip.  I met Meredith last summer on island - she's an uber talented artist and photographer and just an amazing person - I'm always keen to support incredible women.

My family
