St. Barths 2020 Edition

St. Barths 2020 Edition

What a treat it was to escape the bitter cold and jet to one of my favorite places on the planet: St. Barths.  This French gem was at its finest after the devastation that Irma wreaked on the island in 2017.  With many hotels even more beautiful and chicer than before, Eden Roc's new Jean Georges restaurant and Cheval Blanc's expansion were some of my favorites.  St. Barths remains a heavenly amalgamation of culture, beauty, gastronomy, fun and great shopping. Here were some of my musts for 2020. xx Ashley

At the Tom Beach hotel at St. Jean beach.

Lunch at Le Toiny

With Club 55 vibes, exquisite cuisine and a beautiful little beach, Le Toiny is a must for lunch.  Upon arrival, you are whisked down to the beach in an open air Defender and encouraged to be barefoot...perfection!

Le Toiny's beach restaurant reminded me of a laid back version of St. Tropez's Club 55.

Almost too beautiful to eat - this tuna tartare was delectable.

Cheval Blanc

Cheval Blanc's recent expansion under its new owner LVMH was tastefully executed and decorated by the inimitable Jacques Grange.  Perched on one of my favorite beaches - baie de Flamands - Cheval Blanc boasts a new beach restaurant, stunning new rooms and a revamped women's boutique (where you will find our fine jewelry collection soon!)

The new beach restaurant at Cheval Blanc.

Wearing our new Paraguay top & Nicaragua skirt from Temptation Positano & Sequin Ikat Basket.

Our new St. Barths travel pouch launching soon!

The New Eden Roc

Having just opened in December 2019, the new Eden Roc is better than ever and the new Jean Georges restaurant was my favorite dinner of the trip.

Our new Camellia multi color pendant and Love You charm.

My Borsalino hat I found in Rome this summer & our St. Tropez Clutch.

Sunday Lunch at Nikki Beach

If you are looking for a loud, fun, dancing-on-tables kind of Sunday vibe - Nikki Beach is the place to be.  Bonus: when @JimmySax makes an appearance and plays his saxophone alongside the DJ.  The crowd goes berserk.

My Nikki Beach Arm Party: Horn Bangles, Miramar Cuff, Cigar Band Ring, Diamond Band Ring.

The Pool at Le Christopher

A visit to Le Christopher's pool which disappears into an azure sea is a beautiful spot on Pointe Milou and fun for a dip and a bite at the hotel's restaurant.  The Sisley Spa is also a favorite.

Shopping in Gustavia

An afternoon in Gustavia after a beach day is the perfect time to enjoy the best of St. Barths shopping.  My go-to's are Clic (founded by Christiane Celle of Calypso who wrote my first order at Georgetown!) & clothing stores Volver and Delfina. Terra & Mandarine in St. Jean are also great and you can find ASHA there.

Clic Gallery. Among books, fashion, and unique finds, Clic sells striking, colorful photos of St. Barths.  I'm coveting an oversized aerial print of Flamands Beach.

Vintage inspired dresses by Dodo Bar Or at Volver.

Loving my new Dodo Bar Or dress inspired by a crochet dress Jane Birkin wore in the 1960s.

Our St. Barths Coordinates Pendant available at Mandarine/Terra in St. Jean.

Dinner at Orega

I had been wanting to try Orega for quite some time and finally made it to this French-Japanese hot spot.  The food was delicious & artistic, and even though it is quite intimate, it's a fun spot for a big group.

Sunset Cocktails at Shellona

Sunset cocktails at this rustic beach restaurant seemingly plucked out of Mykonos is perfect for an evening swim, cocktails and an early app.

Until next time... xx
